The big project!!!

Finally i have come to the end of my double project!!!

For the past one week i have been working on my paperwork which i have JUST completed!! As for my website (which you can view at http://zappa.tvu.ac.uk/~03ahmetf/cyprus/) its taken me sometime to put the finshes touches. Last week i was at uni talking to my supervisers which they told me what to change before i had to hand in tomorrow (speaking of which my presentation is tomorrow!). I use to have shockwave images on my index page but i had to get rod of that because on my browers they didnt work and plus it was making ikt really slow to download. Ive had to move things round to make it look more "professional" but in the end i have gotten there and now all i have to do is face my presentation once again!!!

Good Luck to me!!! but then again il be happy at the end of this week when its over!!!!!!!!!!!!

just uploaded my site on to the site! this was a good thing to do now then last week because now i can see what needs to change. viewing it in browser was completely different as what i have seen on the actual internet!

ok last three weeks in nd ive been a bit quite coz now that my film is completed which i have to admit it got in the way!! but now thats over ive working non stop on my website and one other assignment. im glad to say that i have got much left to finish!! however i just ahve to out all the finishing touches and off course uploading it on to the net which i have tried doing yesterday till my computer didnt let me so i guess i have to wait til i get to uni and get help or if i can find another server that will let me!! wel c....

yeah i admit this project got put on hold as to my film, which is being filmed this week. so after that il be able to work on this every night rather then every other night!!! uni-

im gona be honest here.
lately i havent done much owrk on my website since the presentation. ive been so caught up in my minor couse (video production) that its crazy and i dont understand it!
the problem is that project (filming im doing) is taking soooo much more of my time you wont understand!! infact im working on that like crazy everyday and every spare minute i have. its impossible for me to work on that less really i have so work to do every week so this one is on hold for now. filming will be done at the end of this month then after that il be free to wotk on this main project day at night! what can i do?!

ha i had my presentation yesterday!!
i realised when i finished that i missed out some bits like stuff i drew out and some pictures that i cud have shown on the compt oh well i just did as best as i cud... i was to nervous anyway! i HATE presenations!!!

so last week i brought a new computer which meant that i can finally get on with creating this damn project!!
ever since then (thursday to be precise!)i have been doing it on dreamweaver and looking back at my mock up designs its waayyy different! but its ok i like the new design! its fustrating using dreamweaver but im also learning new things! to be honest i use to hate using dreamweaver (and yep i was mad enough to use it for a final project!) but its not that bad! but yes there are a few things that i am able to do easily on director that i cant do in that dreamweaver, i just mean about the interactive stuff.
and by the way im using the brand new dreamweaver 8! i have already noticed that there are a few things that are a bit confusing compared to the old one but thanks to books and reading up how to do certain things, i am getting there very slowly!

in the past week alot of changes has happened!!!
i know that i wanted to do about the whole of north cyprus and i wanted to do a director project, however when i tried to draw out my plan on paper i really wasnt getting anywhere.
i ahve nbow decided to make a website! so far i ahve done well now. i have written out what pages and what will go in them. i have already drawn out my site map and i have orangized all my folders with images already in them to get ready for when i start building my site! im hoping now that i will get alot futhure now then i did before.

yesterday, i mostly spent my time on photoshop. i got loads of images and had to edit them.
i got images of cyprus and each town i have already inserted them on to director.
today am i scanning in all my images i want to use. i have some more photos of maps and i am going to put some pictures of the main hotel i will reseach about- salamis bay.

i have changed my project around slightly now. i knew this would happen anyway!
first of all im still sticking to the salamis idea but im cutting that down a bit. what im really going to do is do my project based around all of north cyprus not just one area.
this means that i will write and do about all the main town and villages.
i have decided that i will include about the history of cyprus, about the war and why it happned and also about each city.
i will include where people can go visit and what they should see.
lastly i will still include my video idea because this shows the scenary of cyprus which is the whole point of my project- to call in more people to go and visit the north of cyprus!

ive started on my project yesterday!!! ive already done the introduction and the main banner that will be viewed in all the pages. i have made several different background images and i have started on my menu page but i have left it for today and will probably work on it 2rw when i will defo decide what i want in the contents. if not then i will get back to it in the new year!!! HAPPY NEW YR!!!

This week ive been looking at other websites about salamis and the hotels. i have to say that i cant really find much about it. but then that is the reason why im doing my project on cyprus.
i have also been looking back at my video from my holiday and i have picked out the bits i want. i think they are gona need some serious editing! coz some parts have my family in it!!!
Anyhow i am going to start making this project during the christmas holidays!

just to say that i had my presentation. i got some images and my proposal and put them together on director.
on wednesdays lesson i had to go in a very small room with alot of students (was alot to me!!) and present. actauly i wanted to be first (but wasnt) to get it over and done with (as i was nervous) and just incase if anyone that was in front of me had better work that would made mine look v.bad!! i would had save myself from this!!! but luckly it never came to this!!!

so anyway it went very well and there were no hiccups! only i got told excaly what i had expected- that my images may not be enough for a virtual tour. so all weekend ive been thinking that if this comes to it and i cant do it then im thinking that i will have to turn my project a little around. instead of a tour i can do an interactive museum or make a game by making a maze of some sort. anyway, these are what is flying around in my head right now. maybe i should write them down straight away as soon as i think of them...

woohoo!!! just finished proposal which i have emailed to course leader and also just finished doing my presentation on director. All running good and hopefully when i do my presentation 2rw it goes all well and that i dont get too nervous!! wish me luck!!!

right so next week is my presentation for the proposal of this project. i gona have to tell everyone what im doing!!! aagggrrrrhhhh!!! not good...
for ive started typing up my proposal today. i am not ganna leave it to the last minute! no way!

ok so today i emailed my lecturer about one idea that i would like to do!

this summer i went to cyprus and i got some fantasic photo's and video clips there. i brought a new video camera before i went there and i carried it EVERYWHERE with me!!!
In the hotel i was staying at (salamis bay) i was next to a place called salamis which is the old romans ruin which there still there. Off course i went to see it and took some fantastic photo's.
This made me think that i dont want to waste these photo's and i want to make good use them soooo.....

ive decided to base my project on salamis and the area around it. im thinking of making a virual tour of salamis by using my pictures and videos. I would also like to make an advertisment too and put the hotels around the area.
Only thing is im worried about making this because i dont think i have enough confidents to make a 3D moving tour!!!

Aarrgghhhh!!!!

oh well we'l see what the lecturers say at uni about it....

I have just started my final year at univerisity.

I have been assigned to start thinking of some ideas. Thing is it aint been easy. im already finding it hard and ive been stratching my head about it- alot.
